Been thinking about this time of year. Are you caught up in the “hussle and bussle” of what’s going on out there with everyone trying to get ready for Christmas? And when it is over, it just seems to be a blur….you have these questions: “Where did it go?” “When did I charge that?” “Will I even wear this?” “What where they thinking, giving me this?” and on and on…… We lose sight of the reason for this season. God sent His son Jesus. We are celebrating His birthday, but are we even remembering that special event, the special event that is the Ultimate Gift to us? Man tries to take something and make a mess of it. Christmas is to be experienced and to be a reminder of His coming.
The scripture says “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” (Col. 3:2) I just know if we do this, when we look back on the events of this Christmas, we will have memories we will cherish all year long. And….in our hearts we will know the real meaning of CHRISTMAS!!!
