THE MIRACLE OF A FLOWER....

Phil sent me a quote this morning, that spoke volumes, it said......

"If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly, our whole life would change."

LOVE MY PINK PETUNIAS

Life speaks out as you study a flower.  Take a moment and look at this Petunia. Take note how each part is created so intricately with each line...

Think how the Rose brings happiness in our presence.  What majesty in a rose as its fragrance fills a room. Take a minute to watch this, it amazing!...

I love a garden!  This year my garden is making me stop and live in the moment.  Needing me to maintain each flower,  requires my hand to pay close attention to their development and conditions. Without this they would not show their beauty, although God is doing His work well with enough sunshine and rain.  It’s been a good year for moisture in our area and in other parts of our country, as well.

Hydrangeas have been showing off this year with rays of deep colors of rich blues and purples....

I've really enjoyed bringing them indoors to brighten a room.

The other day, as I walked by a table, a ray of sunshine came in the window and landed perfectly on this flower. You could almost hear it saying, "Look at me! Look at me!...

Don't know if you can tell it or not but these flowers below are not real.   I placed a "last year's table top basket" of artificial flowers in an empty pot to enjoy. Have to remember they don't need watering, they look so real...

I am trying my hand at geraniums and they seem to be liking my care alright...

Every year I have to hang a few Boston Ferns on a hanger or two or three across the porch. Always heard to use odd numbers in an arrangement of flowers.  I love the deep greens they have.  I always use plenty of Miracle Grow every other watering....

The other night the sunset was gorgeous behind the ferns, setting down along the mountain ranges....

Phil and I like to go out in the evening to watch the stars come in for the night.  As I look at my flowers I want to thank them for their help in causing me to stop during my busy day and “live in the moment”.  I realize that only the hand of our Maker can cause such beauty!...

As we were sitting there the other night we looked up and the wind had whisk across the clouds forming this large cloud, we were amazed to see a face, we sat in silence....

..... as you stop and live in this moment..can you see it?

OUR REAL FATHER ON FATHER DAY...

Just thinking about Father's Day and what it means to me....

My Dad is in Heaven and I miss him, never really got the hug I wanted or the "I love you's" but I've come full circle.  By way of the gift of forgiveness, it's all resolved and in the past now.

By forgiving my Dad, it gave me a true love for him and an appreciation for Henry David, my earthly father.   I now know that he really loved me, in his own way.  I'm looking forward to seeing him one day to live with him forever....

Lately, I have begun to focus on my Real Father.  A Father who will never leave me or forsake me.  The One that loves me with a love that is never ending, "going to the ends of the earth and back" or "to the moon and back", as you might hear one say.

There's no wonder I woke up early this morning with these thoughts to ponder.....

"HE KNOWS MY NAME"...

Woke up this morning with this overwhelming thought in song going through my mind, “The Maker of Heaven Knows My Name”!

I lay there wondering why are these words in my mind? ...and what does it mean?

There must be a reason, I thought...

Could it be Father is wanting to tell me something?  For me to know how important I am to Him? or just how much He loves me?

A feeling of Security came over me thinking through these words and it was BIG to think He cares for me...A LOT!...

He cares and I am just AWE Struck....

Lets just sit back and let this song work into our mind and live our days believing how much He cares for us and our every need and being....

WILDFLOWERS CAPTURED ME ON OUR DAY TRIP....

RICK'S TEXAS WILDFLOWER PICTURE GOT MY INTERESTED STIRRED THIS YEAR!

Wildflowers can capture my attention. They interest me.   I'm fascinated at how they are in areas along highways or just out in a quite land with an ultimate beauty....

They're not high maintenance and they grow naturally in areas that you don't expect. They are not like those flowers placed in flower pots or on town squares "out front" saying, "look at me" "look at me, I am the best".

They just grow quietly in the breeze expecting not a thing but to help us enjoy God's creation....

THIS ONE IS CALLED... "GOD SPILLED THE PAINT"

While riding out on our day trip in the mountains of North Carolina last week we came upon an area along the road side with beauty that captured me.  It demanded a turn around to go back and enjoy one more time!

ALONG THE ROAD OUTSIDE FRANKLIN NC

Their display time of year, the first part of Summer and last part of Spring, seems to be the best.  Things are coming alive with freshness of green, all shades of green.

MOUNTAIN RANGE ON BLUE RIDGE PARKWAY WITH RHODODENDRONS READY TO BLOOM

.....on our day of adventure we saw along the mountain ranges, dark green and light green, "virgin green" as my friend in Vermont calls it.

For the artist, it's a dream come true to see such color splashed across, under a blue sky.  I want to stand in awe with my hand across my heart singing, "American the Beautiful"!

We made our way to a little town I love Waynesville, NC, where you can walk the brick paved sidewalks and visit their unique shops.

I am always fascinated with the fancy dogs all trimmed walking with their owners. The town caters to the pets real well even by providing a specialty shop of dog treats...

.....in a Dog Bakery.....

In the window you can see the doughnuts and even pizza made for those pampered pets....

After we had seen enough of that ....

.......we walked on down the street to our favorite shop..

"PHEASANT HILL" ( here you can visit their website http://www.pheasanthilldesign.com/), it's an Antique Store with great Ice Cream  and Bakery items.

There you can get the best Cakes..the Coconut Cake is the best cake you have ever put in your mouth....

We always enjoy reading in our favorite spot....

...........and of course having a piece of cake with their great coffee in our favorite spot....

OUR FAVORITE PLACE TO SIT AWHILE WITH OUR FAVORITE TREAT

Then it was time for the ride home back down the mountain and to wait for a time to go again....

.....but not without a piece of cake to take home to which we ate on for two days, they do give large servings at a price that will knock you over but it is SO worth it!!!

Well that's our road trip for now.........come back soon to see what we have been up to next.......See Ya right here!!!

......until then if you should go out looking for Wildflowers here's a picture guide to identify some of these beauties watch for them!
