FEELING ALL ALONE?.... HELP IS ON THE WAY!......

Never forget the day riding on our tour bus sitting next to Nancy my very special friend, and that day tour guide, on our Holy Land trip.  Nancy said to me, “look over to your right at that area, that’s where David hid from Saul many times in the Crags of the mountains”. My thoughts have gone to that mental picture many times since that day in April of 1996, riding to our next stop. The image resinates in my Soul.

Those times of feeling discouraged and times of feeling, "I can’t go another step in this crisis" are the times Holy Spirit whispers in my Spirit... “remember David trusted God even when he was in a dark cave on the side of a mountain and could not see”.....

It's not a mistake this came my way today.  In my Inbox was "The Friday Devo By Max Lacado".  Again my attention is drawn to that day on the tour bus.

When I get this feeling I tend to think.. someone is in need of a help during their times of feeling all alone.  This has to be generated from all the encounters we have had the last few days. People we know and some we just have met on our way have shared prayer request and needs.  Its just a lot of hurting folk out there but maybe these thoughts will be of some help.  I want you to know to keep Trusting even in the dark places, or take that one more step knowing "Help is on The Way" just as David did.....

Read this as I did this morning....

God, Your Refuge
by Max Lucado

He has a price on his head.  No place to lay his head. But somehow he keeps his head.  He turns his focus to God and finds refuge! Refuge is a favorite word of David’s in the Psalms. But never did David use the word more poignantly than in Psalm 57 a song of David when he fled from Saul into the cave. On his face, lost in shadows and thought, nowhere to turn. But then he remembers he is not alone.  And from the recesses of the cave his voice floats:

“Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me.
For my soul rests in You;
And in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge.”

Make God your refuge. Not your job, your spouse, your reputation, or your retirement account. Make God your refuge! Let Him encircle you. Let Him be the foundation upon which you stand! And that foundation will support you right into eternity.....from Facing Your Giants

....just remember "HELP IS ON THE WAY"...
